The Black Business Association of BC is bringing a delegation of Black-owned businesses to CHFA NOW Vancouver 2027, one of Canada’s largest natural, organic and wellness CPG trade shows. Selected businesses will exhibit in the BBABC Trade Pavilion at the Vancouver Convention Centre on May 1 and 2, 2027.
This is a trade-only environment. The buyers, category managers, and distributors walking that floor represent hundreds of retail locations across Western Canada and beyond. BBABC is covering the cost of the booth. Your job is to show up ready.
About the Pavilion
CHFA NOW Vancouver draws over 7,000 industry professionals annually, with 86% of retail attendees holding direct buying authority. The 2026 show welcomed 1,030 exhibiting companies and retailers representing 671 unique store locations, with 90% of retail locations coming from Western Canada.
BBABC has secured booth space for up to ten Black-owned businesses to exhibit at the 2027 show. Each selected business receives a fully covered 5×10 ft booth, pre-show market readiness training, on-site delegation support, and promotion through BBABC channels.
What Is Covered
BBABC will cover the full cost of the exhibition booth for each selected business. Participants are responsible for CHFA membership fees, travel, accommodations, and booth display materials. Detailed cost guidance will be provided to selected applicants.
Who Should Apply
This opportunity is designed for Black-owned businesses with products that are retail ready and positioned for natural health food, grocery, pharmacy, or wellness retail channels. To be eligible, your business must be:
an active BBABC member in good standing, majority Black-owned (51% or more), compliant with all applicable Canadian labelling and food safety regulations, and committed to attending the full trade show on May 1 and 2, 2027.
CHFA membership is also required. If your business is not yet a CHFA member, you must obtain membership before your Pavilion spot can be confirmed. BBABC will provide guidance on that process.
What to Expect
All selected businesses will participate in mandatory pre-show market readiness training covering buyer engagement, listing agreements, show-specific deal structures, regulatory compliance, and booth presentation. Training takes place in January and February 2027 through a combination of group webinars and one-on-one coaching.
