FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES

Tender opportunities for Canadian Black owned or led small businesses. Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) has posted several tender opportunities for Canadian Black owned or led small businesses. For details on these tender opportunities, please see the list of tender notices.

As additional tender opportunities are expected to be posted in the future, we encourage interested businesses to subscribe to these email notification service search results on Buyandsell.gc.ca to receive notification when these related tenders are posted.

These tender opportunities are part of a procurement pilot program to open bidding opportunities for Canadian Black owned or led small businesses. The pilot program will inform the expanded use of targeted approaches to increasing diversity in future procurements and support opportunity and economic growth for Black Canadians. It supports the Black Entrepreneurship Program, which will help Black Canadian business owners and entrepreneurs grow their businesses and succeed now and into the future.

FREE LEGAL ADVICE AND SERVICES

"The Clinic is an initiative launched by @dlapiper Canada to provide Black and Indigenous business owners with free legal education and legal services. We are partnering up with the Vancouver office to provide a webinar this fall, look out for registration details on our page soon.

The Clinic will provide qualifying Black and Indigenous founders with practical and timely corporate and commercial legal advice. The Clinic’s focus will be common legal issues encountered by entrepreneurs and small business owners, including incorporations, structuring, employment matters, e-commerce issues, and basic commercial matters (e.g., non-disclosure agreements, simple lease review, distribution agreements, etc.). The Clinic will also run business law education seminars to help first-time business owners understand some of the risks they should keep in mind as they grow their businesses. The Clinic services in British Columbia will be offered on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam Nations.
